What documents are needed to rent a motorbike in Ninh Binh?

Depending on the purpose of renting a car, you may need to prepare different documents. Some rental companies may also require a deposit to finalize the contract. However, in Ninh Binh, the two most common documents when renting a car are a valid Citizen Identity Card or Passport and a valid Driver's License.

1. National ID card or Passport

This document verifies your identity and personal information. Most car rental places in Ninh Binh require you to present your citizen ID card when picking up a vehicle. 

Some stores may also flexibly accept photos of your national ID card from the VNeID app. If you don't have your national ID card with you or haven't installed VNeID, you can substitute it with your passport.

2. Driving license (Driver's license)

Presenting a driver's license is mandatory when renting a motorbike in Ninh Binh. Make sure your license is valid and appropriate for the type of motorbike you wish to rent. 

If you don't have a driver's license, you can rent a motorbike with an engine capacity under 50cc or an electric motorbike. However, for common motorbike models, you need an A1 driver's license to be eligible to rent and safely operate the vehicle on the road.

Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex

Trang An is a famous natural tourist destination with breathtaking scenery, majestic mountains, and winding rivers. The entrance fee to Trang An is 250,000 VND for adults and 100,000 VND for children under 1.4m. 

Travel by boat on the Trang An River and admire the majestic scenery of limestone mountains, large caves, and a system of clear blue lakes. This place is often described as a "Ha Long Bay on land".

Tam Coc - Bich Dong

Exploring Tam Coc - Bich Dong by boat on the Ngo Dong River is an experience not to be missed when visiting Ninh Binh. Tam Coc is breathtakingly beautiful in the eyes of tourists with its towering limestone mountains, fascinating cave formations, and golden rice fields on either side. 

Upon arriving here, tourists usually first visit Bich Dong Pagoda, from where they can see a panoramic view of the lush green valley and vast rivers and streams from above. Tam Coc means three caves: Cave One, Cave Two, and Cave Three. The entrance fee is 120,000 VND per person, and the boat trip fee for the Tam Coc route is 150,000 VND per trip.

Hang Mua

This is a popular check-in spot for tourists visiting Ninh Binh, about a 15-minute drive from Trang An. To reach the top of Mua Cave, visitors have to climb about 500 stone steps. The climb can be quite challenging at times, but once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with a stunning view of the Tam Coc valley and the Ngo Dong River below.

This is one of the four core areas of the Trang An World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Here, visitors can visit the temples of King Dinh (Dinh Tien Hoang), King Le (Le Dai Hành), and the museum preserving artifacts. The
ancient capital of Hoa Lu has many historical and cultural relics such as the Tam Cung Gate, Thanh Thai Palace, Dinh To Pagoda, Thanh Nguyen Pagoda, and the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hành. These relics are evidence of the power and culture of the Dinh and Early Le dynasties.
